Dean has worked in law firms for a decade, four of them as a solicitor. He completed a Bachelor of Liberal Studies in 2012 from Sydney University, then was admitted in 2018 after completing the LPAB at Sydney University’s Law Extension Committee, excelling in a number of subjects including Wills & Estates.

Dean has worked on a wide range of matters from property to commercial litigation, conveyancing and local government matters. His general background means he can assist you in understanding the aspects of your matter and making sure the right team is put together to resolve it. Since his admission, he has developed a particular focus on estate planning, probate and estate administration and estate litigation and disputes (including related equity claims). He has also conducted guardianship and protective matters in NCAT and the NSW Supreme Court for vulnerable members of the community.

Dean is based in our Sydney office where his focus is private wealth law, wills and estates and estate litigation and disputes. He is well equipped to develop comprehensive and holistic estate plans, administer even the most complex of estates and to resolve estate disputes. He is well placed to deal with the different jurisdictions in which we provide services including the ACT. Dean has existing relationships with a number of experienced and skilled barristers to assist where required.

Dean is familiar with working with financial planners and accountants to ensure that your estate plan reflects the wishes you have for the wealth you have generated.

Over the course of a matter, you can expect Dean to build a relationship of trust and empathy. He takes the time to listen to your situation and then applies his careful and methodical approach to fully prepare your plan or case. Dean has resolved many matters before hearing by negotiation and is also prepared to conduct a matter to contested hearing.
